Here is what Caroline, 70, wrote to the HBCF after returning home following spinal surgery and a period of recovery:
“Please pass on my thanks to your committee for the get-well card and the cheque I received on my return from convalescence.
I am also grateful for the Christmas card and the cheque, a very welcome support at this time of year, thank you. I bought some extra logs and two more 20-litre containers of paraffin in case this winter is as cold as the last. The past nine months have been very difficult, but your help will support me as I rebuild. I hope my health problems will soon be behind me and that I can focus on the future! Thank you again for your help.”
