Jill’s family – and the joy of being able to buy new shoes.
Jill and her family came to live in France in 2006, but when her husband left the home and stopped supporting them in December 2012, Jill had to struggle desperately to make ends meet. The HBCF helped by providing support for food, essential daily expenses, and clothing for the children.
“I was completely overwhelmed when I opened my mail today and found support for clothing for Dan and Laura. They really need it; it has been such a long time since we’ve been gluing our shoes back together with Super Glue! And luckily, Laura is about the same size as me, so we share our clothes! We’re going to be able to find some great bargains now that the sales have started! Thank you again for helping us through this difficult time (it was completely unexpected).”
